Busy days are here to stay. I have neglected my blog a little these two weeks due to my enormous work load. I have had very little time to chill out and everything seems to be happening all at the same time. Just a little note to all that after these crazy period, I may start some courses in the next few months. Details have not been finalised yet. But once it’s firmed up, I will update the news on my blog and facebook.
These days, I have been seeing a lot of people who are unhappy with their lot in life. The idea of suffering is prevalent in Buddhism and it is one that I hold close to my heart. Whenever my clients comes to me with their set of problems. Most of the times, they are in a great state of despair and they are lost in their own world of problems.
But it does not have to be this way.
In Buddhism, we learn to accept that suffering is part of living and that attachments are the source of our unhappiness.
After all, we are all here to learn lessons in life and once we’ve mastered it, we will become better people and inevitably clear our karma. Do not let ego and pride rule your life. Fill your life with Metta (Loving Kindness).
Understand the meaning of Anicca (impermanence) and know that even if you are unhappy now, it does not last forever and if you are happy right now, that too will not last forever. Until we learn to accept and to let things be, we will not be able to liberate ourselves.
Happiness does not consist of attaining the ephemeral, in reality, nothing exists and nothing last forever. we are all here because we have lessons to learn. And if you do find a sliver of happiness, do not hold on to it. Because that in itself is suffering.
To all those of you who are in a great state of despair, know that things will turn out better. Surround yourself with compassion and love.
May you be free from suffering.
